A place for VSC celebrates victories, shares important news and announcements, and reminds our community of upcoming events and deadlines.

Fall Season is well underway for VSC Club and Travel teams! Check out what we have coming up!

FAMILY DAY

VSC is introducing its first-ever VSC FAMILY DAY on Saturday, October 24 ! Robust CONCESSIONS will be available, a new shipment of VSC MERCHANDISE will be on sale, and family-friendly GAMES and MUSIC will be set up to keep the players and supporters entertained!

TEAM & PLAYER PICTURES

TEAM & PLAYER PICTURES will take place at JWMS on SATURDAY, 10/24 . Teams will be scheduled for photos at specific times on Saturday morning, starting before U6 Peewee games and ending after U8 Club games. Your ASSIGNED TIME SLOT will be sent via PLAYMETRICS so please keep an eye out!

FAMILY FEEDBACK FORM

THANK YOU to our VSC FAMILIES and community for the FEEDBACK provided this season. We are incredibly fortunate to have volunteers and families who are willing to provide feedback to help VSC succeed in delivering a fun and positive experience for their players. While many of you have reached out to ValleySoccerClubCDE@gmail.com, coaches, and the VSC Board to share feedback already, we are now offering a FEEDBACK FORM on PlayMetrics where families can input COMMENTS, CONCERNS & RECOMMENDATIONS at any time throughout the season. VSC is on a mission to make this club work for its families, players, and community!

HARTFORD ATHLETICS TICKETS

VSC Day at HARTFORD ATHLETICS is SUNDAY, 10/4 @ 3:00PM. VSC Players receive a free ticket by filling out the HARTFORD ATHLETICS FORM on PLAYMETRICS. Non-players can purchase tickets using the DISCOUNTED TICKETS LINK . This is a league Championship Game so tickets will sell out quickly. Get your tickets now!

VSC Launches Kick it Forward Program

Clean Cleats. New Chances. Stronger Community.

Kids grow fast—and soccer cleats don’t last long!

Valley Soccer Club is excited to introduce KICK IT FORWARD , a cleat donation and exchange program designed to give gently used soccer cleats a second life while helping every young player have the gear they need to take the field.

The idea is simple: when your child outgrows a pair of cleats that still have plenty of life left in them, don’t let them sit in a closet—kick them forward to another VSC family!

How Kick It Forward Works

1. Donate : Bring in your player's gently used soccer cleats. A quick wipe to remove dirt before donating makes a big difference

To make sure donated cleats are ready for their next player, VSC is accepting:

Clean, gently used soccer cleats
Youth sizes only
Cleats with no holes, separated soles, or broken studs

2. Exchange : Find the next size your player needs from the available donated cleats. All exchanges are based on availability.

3. Return & Repeat : When your child outgrows those cleats, bring them back so another young player can enjoy them. The cycle continues, helping more VSC families season after season.

Why Kick It Forward Matters

KICK IT FORWARD is about more than cleats. It’s an easy way for our soccer community to make a meaningful difference. Save money . Families can get quality cleats at no cost. Reduce waste . Keeping usable soccer gear in circulation helps keep it out of landfills. Keep kids playing . Every child deserves the right gear to step onto the field and play their best. Build a stronger community . By sharing what our players have outgrown, VSC families can support one another and make soccer more accessible for everyone.

Mark your calendars! Join us on Wednesday, July 1, 2026 at Surfridge Brewing Co. in Centerbrook as we cheer on the USA in their World Cup matchup.

Bring your friends, wear your red, white, and blue, and enjoy an unforgettable night of soccer, great beer, food, and Valley Community! Doors open at 4:00 PM , giving you plenty of time to grab a seat, enjoy a pint, and get ready for kickoff. The match begins at 8:00 PM and will be shown live! Make your reservation today !

Even better, your support will make a difference to VSC. 10% of profits from the entire evening will be donated to Valley Soccer Club , helping support our own youth soccer programs and the next generation of players. Whether you can only grab an early bird dinner or plan on staying the whole night, come be part of the excitement as Team USA takes the world stage!

May 15-17 is a Silent Sidelines Weekend

May 15 - 17 is a CJSA statewide SILENT SIDELINES WEEKEND . Spectators should refrain from making any comments to players, coaches or referees. Applauding efforts of the players is permitted. The goals of Silent Sidelines Weekend are to:

Develop our players to make decisions on the field without sideline intervention.
Improve the players’ communication on the field by reducing the outside noise level.
Support our youth referees by eliminating dissension from the sidelines.

The CJSA is "requesting that all spectators remain silent on these weekends. For the sake of our kids, we are asking for one weekend where we stand back and just let the players play. We would like to provide each player at least one game of their season that is free of the distractions caused by spectators screaming and yelling at them." More information about the SILENT SIDELINES WEEKEND is available on the CJSA website.

VSC Supports VRHS Summer League

VSC looks forward to another summer supporting the Valley Regional High School Boys and Girls Soccer Teams' summer training. Under the direction of VRHS Girls Soccer Head Coach, Tessa Malcarne, and VRHS Boys Soccer Head Coach, Bryant Ziobron, the VRHS Summer League offers exclusive pre-season training to the current VRHS soccer teams and incoming freshman players.

VSC is proud to have these talented and dedicated high school coaches on the VSC Board of Directors and is grateful for the continued partnership within our community!
